Consisting of 30 stories of steel-frame structure with glass and aluminum exterior, Winston Tower was completed in 1966 by D. L. Phillips Builders. Two and a half of the stories are mechanical along with 435,933 RSF.
After construction, the building was primarily occupied by Wachovia Bank and Trust Company, and was appropriately named, the Wachovia Building. Today the property is owned by Winston Tower Properties, LLC. Since acquiring the Tower, Winston Tower Properties has made many noticeable improvements to the interior and exterior of the building, one of which is an ongoing project for Magnolia Construction.
In 2006, Magnolia Construction began updating the utilities within the 40-year-old building. Since the launch of the project. Magnolia has successfully installed a new water-line, electrical updates and completely updated the HVAC. The next step in this endeavor will be re-roofing the structure. Additionally, Magnolia Construction has upfit many of the Winston Tower's office interiors.
