Prior to forming Magnolia Construction, Randy Foster was the Construction Manager for Highwoods
Properties in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. As Construction Manager, Mr. Foster oversaw all con-
struction of new office buildings and wareshouse facilities and subsequently the upfits of any work within
these buildings. In 1990, using Mr. Foster's contractor license, Highwoods Construction was formed.
The new division self-performed the construction upfits within the buildings. New construction of office
buildings and warehouses continued to be performed by other general contractors and supervised by
Mr. Foster.
In 2011, we have been fortunate enough to add even more value to our client’s investment by having two
of our esteemed Project Managers join as Managing Members. Gerard Perreault and Matt Foster have over
30 years of combined experience in the construction industry and we are honored to now call them Partners.
Colon Moore began as a Project Manager for Shelco, Inc. in 1990. As Project Manager he was re-
sponsible for the pre-construction estimating, buy-out, scheduling and project management for projects
ranging from $150,000 to $28 million. He worked jointly with the job superintendent during construction
to daily monitor the quality, cost and schedule of each project. In 1997, Mr. Moore began a relationship
with Randy Foster through Shelco, Inc.'s general contracting responsibilities with Highwoods Properties.
Over the next two to three years, Mr. Moore and Mr. Foster constructed more than 200,000 square feet
of office buildings, 650,000 square feet of warehouse and 75 acres of site development through their
general contractor/owner relationship.
In 1999, Mr. Moore joined Mr. Foster in starting Magnolia Construction and formed the company in
December of that year. Revenues have increased from $4 million in 2000 to nearly $19 million in 2007.
The company continues to utilize their owner/contractor mentality to provide the end user with the most
value for their investment.
